Cloud Bookkeeping Services for US Small Businesses
Cloud bookkeeping means your books live in online accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or Xero, and a remote bookkeeper keeps them reconciled from anywhere. Cloud Accountants LLC provides cloud bookkeeping services to US small businesses for a fixed monthly fee: bank and card reconciliation, categorized transactions, a monthly profit and loss and balance sheet, and one dedicated bookkeeper you can ask.
What is a cloud bookkeeping service?
It is bookkeeping done entirely online. Your bank feeds, sales channels and payroll connect to cloud accounting software, and your bookkeeper works in the same live file you can open at any time. There are no desktop files to email, no backups to manage and no waiting for someone to visit the office. You see the same numbers your bookkeeper sees, the day they are entered.
What is included every month?
- Every bank, credit card and loan account reconciled to its statement
- Transactions categorized consistently and reviewed by an accountant
- Shopify, Amazon, Stripe, PayPal and Square payouts split into sales, fees, refunds and sales tax
- Monthly profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statement
- Payroll and sales tax liabilities tracked so nothing is filed late
- A short plain-English note on what changed and what needs a decision
How much do cloud bookkeeping services cost?
US small businesses typically pay between $300 and $1,500 a month for outsourced cloud bookkeeping, depending on transaction volume, number of accounts and sales channels, and whether payroll and sales tax are included. We quote a fixed monthly fee after a short call, so the number does not move and there is no hourly billing. See our packages or the full guide to bookkeeping costs.
Is cloud bookkeeping secure?
Yes, when it is set up properly. QuickBooks Online and Xero encrypt your data and let you invite an accountant with their own login, so you never share a password. We use view-only access wherever possible, you can revoke access in one click, and your data stays in your own accounting file rather than on anyone’s laptop.
Which software do you work with?
We are an Intuit QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a Xero partner, and we connect the tools around them: Gusto and ADP for payroll, A2X for marketplace payouts, Dext for receipts, and Bill.com for payables. If you are on desktop software or spreadsheets today, we handle the move to the cloud as part of onboarding.
Who is cloud bookkeeping for?
Any business that would rather not run its own books, and especially those with more than one way to get paid. We work with ecommerce brands on Shopify and Amazon, alongside restaurants, real estate investors, construction firms, SaaS companies and professional practices across the US.
What if my books are behind or messy?
That is the normal starting point. We quote catch-up bookkeeping or a QuickBooks cleanup as a fixed one-time project, then move you onto the monthly service. If you are not sure where things stand, the free books review tells you within 48 hours.
How do I get started?
- Book a free call and tell us about your volume and sales channels.
- Invite us to your QuickBooks Online or Xero file with accountant access.
- We fix the structure, clear any backlog, and send your first monthly close.
