Behind on Your Books? That Is Fixable
Three months or three years — we reconstruct it, reconcile it and hand it back tax-ready. No lectures, and a fixed quote before we start.

What being behind actually costs.
Beyond the obvious. These are what make it worth fixing now rather than later.
You cannot see the business
Without current books you cannot know whether you are profitable, which products work, or whether you can afford to hire. Every decision becomes instinct.
Tax gets estimated, badly
Filing without proper records means overpaying to be safe, or underpaying and finding out later with penalties attached.
Deductions get missed
Expenses nobody recorded are deductions nobody claimed. Across a year of unreconciled records this is usually a meaningful figure.
Financing becomes impossible
No lender, investor or buyer moves without financial statements. Being behind quietly closes options you may not know you wanted yet.
It compounds
Every month adds transactions to reconstruct and pushes bank records further toward the edge of what can still be downloaded.
It occupies your head
Most people who call us have been avoiding it for months. The relief when it is done is consistently the thing they mention afterwards.
You are much less unusual than you think.
Almost everyone who contacts us about catch-up work opens by apologising.
They do not need to. Falling behind is what happens when a business grows faster than its admin — a symptom of the business working, not of the owner failing. The people who never fall behind usually have less going on.
What matters is the order of operations. Reconstruct oldest first, because opening balances flow forward and a year fixed out of order has to be fixed twice. Reconcile each month fully before moving on. Never estimate a figure you can still retrieve — bank records are usually available for seven years, so very little is genuinely lost.
And price it as a one-time project, separate from ongoing work. Catch-up absorbed into a monthly retainer is how an engagement becomes resented by both sides.
How catch-up runs.
Oldest first, month by month, nothing estimated that can be retrieved.
1. Free assessment
How far back, what records exist, what is missing. An honest picture of the size of the job before any commitment.
2. Fixed-range quote
A one-time fee based on months behind and volume, quoted as a range and confirmed once we have seen the files.
3. Reconstruction
Oldest period first. Each month reconciled fully before the next, so opening balances carry forward correctly.
4. Tax-ready handover
Financials for every period, a list of what we found, and everything your CPA needs. Then stay monthly, or do not.
